Examinations and Qualifications
English
Our pupils have the opportunity to achieve NCFE Entry Level 1/2/3 Functional Skills Qualification in English.
Functional Skills English qualifications enable learners to develop confidence and fluency in, and a positive attitude towards, English. Learners will be able to competently use English in the real world, and gain a sound grasp of basic English knowledge and skills. They also help learners progress into employment or further technical education, and develop skills for everyday life.

Maths
Pupils have the opportunity to achieve the AQA Entry Level Certificate in Mathematics at Level 1, 2 or 3.
Entry Level Certificates (ELCs) are a nationally recognised qualification that gives pupils the opportunity to achieve a certificated award. The ELC provides basic and relevant numeracy skills and is suitable for pupils of all ages.

Science
In science, pupils have the opportunity to achieve the AQA Entry Level Certificate in Science.
AQA have designed this qualification to enable students to engage, explore, enjoy and succeed in science.

Also, pupils also have the opportunity to achieve the Pearson BTEC Level 1 Introductory Award in Applied Science.
As a Level 1 qualification, the pass standard requires learners to complete routine, simple and directed tasks by applying their knowledge and skills. It is expected that learners complete tasks fully under supervision, direction or with guidance. At merit and distinction levels learners may be expected to complete tasks in greater detail or with greater confidence or independence.

Duke of Edinburgh
DofE is an internationally recognised award. It is a voluntary activity (for young people and helpers) and takes real commitment and dedication over a long period of time. It is open for young people aged 14 – 25 years. Our pupils at The Bridge have lessons once a week. There are 3 Levels: Bronze, Silver and Gold and 4 sections in each level: Physical, Voluntary, Skills and Expedition
