We were delighted to be invited to attend the SouthYorkshireCareersHub LeadingTheWay celebration event where we received an award for the ‘Most Innovative Provision’.

It was fabulous to be recognised for our Internal Work Experience offer. This is a massive team effort and a big thanks to all our staff who helped to make this possible, as well as the support provided from the DWP.

"Pennine View are passionate about raising aspirations and broadening horizons for their students. To overcome many challenges that BM6 presents for young people with SEND, they have developed, over the past couple of years, with support from the DWP, a really robust model of Internal Work Experience within their school setting. This incorporates job descriptions, applying for jobs, invites being issued for a formal interview, appointed to post and feedback on performance. The impact of this model has been demonstrated through attendance, confidence levels as well as student motivation and enjoyment. Pennine View are keen to further develop this model and with a network of schools so that, where appropriate, students can benefit from experience beyond their own familiar setting."
